To make extra money, 15-year-old Christian Hall worked as a deckhand on the 74-foot sailboat Gypsy II off the coast of Corpus Christi, Texas.
In November 2005, the adventure-seeking teen asked his family if he could go on a trip with the boat’s owner, David “Dusty” Andrews, 39, for whom Christian was working.

To him, it would be the trip of a lifetime.
His family said no, but Christian went anyway.
On Nov. 24, 2005, Christian and Andrews set sail for Florida, leaving from where the boat was docked on the John F. Kennedy Memorial Causeway that connects Laguna Madre and North Padre Island in Corpus Christi.
But the two never made it to Florida and were never heard from again.
Twenty years later, Christian's family is still looking for him, with the help of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Christian’s aunt, Carla Boehm, told NCMEC she thinks her nephew could still be alive. If he is, she wants him to know that his family loves him and would love to see him again.

“If he thinks nobody cares, maybe he's not even trying to come home,” Boehm told NCMEC.
Now the organization is releasing a new age-progressed image created by a forensic artist to show what Christian may look like today at 35.
Over the years, very little information about what happened to Christian and Andrews has surfaced.
Andrews did not have permission to take the teen with him on the boat, authorities have said.
On Jan. 4, 2006, Christian's family reported him missing.
The Texas Department of Public Safety also put out a bulletin that Christian was missing, along with a picture of Andrews and the boat.

What authorities do know is that Christian and Andrews, now 59, were in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Louisiana when the sailboat signaled for mayday, NCMEC reports.
The boat was taking in water, but the two declined any help, authorities said.
Boehm remains hopeful that she and her family will be reunited with Christian.

“I hope he's out there, and that he sees this new picture and realizes people are looking for him, and that he's wanted,” she told NCMEC.
